A study was conducted at least 2 years ago in which chlorine dioxide was used as a fumigant for exterminating bed bugs. It was found that all life cycles of bed bugs, including their eggs, were killed when they were sealed in a chamber with chlorine dioxide for 18 hours. That certainly beats weeks of extermination of a house.
